V 1.5 - Shops & Subsystems!


This is a pretty THICK update, so strap in for the changelog!

[ADDED]

  • Subsystems! You can now acquire 4 different supporting systems to aid you through your journey.
    • Fractal Coating: 50% chance to block a bullet that would otherwise kill you
    • Active Reflector: Press "C" (keyboard) or "X" (gamepad) to gain temporary invincibility and reflect all incoming bullets
    • Autocannons: Periodically fires small bullets. Pattern dependent on ship, damage and amount of bullets increase with Z-Alt upgrades
    • Bonus Rounds: Fires a second volley of shots after you fire. Cooldown, damage, and amount of bullets improve with Z-Alt upgrade
  • Shop! You can now visit the shop after defeating a boss
    • Coins & relics are now tracked in the GUI
    • Coins now come in three values, 1, 2, and 5, each with a different color
    • Relics no longer give a random Main System improvement when they are picked up
    • Main System upgrades are now purchased through the shop with coins and relics
    • Subsystems are purchased with coins
    • You can buy relics for 10 coins, and you can buy extra lives for 3/piece (or five for 12!)

[CHANGED]

  • Dirge now displays an arc when in slowmove mode instead of a straight line
  • Gallantry now displays circle radius when in slowmove instead of nothing
  • Arias & Sidewinder damage slightly nerfed
  • Boss's health pools during rematch have been significantly buffed

[FIXED]

  • Spread on Arias's alt-fire now spreads at the proper angles
  • Fixed a bug that caused ships to not become invisible when entering & exiting Trip Gates
  • Fixed a bug that caused the bonus room to show the old GUI
  • Switching between keyboard and gamepad is now much more responsive and accepts more inputs to trigger switching
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Sector F to not spawn enemies and softlock the game
